(Welch 58) E 8" An old MDB from the father of the modern MDB, Walter Welch. I don't recall ours ever getting to 8" tall, but the large flowers look so unusual that close to the ground. Welch called the beard "spur-like" because of its tendency to hang seemingly on the face of the fall.
